The Department of Art and Design curriculum supports majors in Studio Art, Graphic Design, Digital Design, Art Education and Art History.DESCRIPTIONTeaching load consists of six studio courses per year, including foundational, intermediate and advanced courses. The Assistant Professor will: Work closely with independent students. Have the opportunity to develop new or revised course offerings. Be prepared to inspire, mentor, and advise liberal arts students from many backgrounds, including underrepresented and marginalized groups. General Days/Hours: Other: The chosen candidate will expand the photography area to incorporate new media and technologies associated with area of expertise. Successful university-level teaching experience beyond graduate assistantships and successful funding procurement and grant activity preferred. Knowledge/Skills/Ability: Areas of expertise should include photography in addition to practices that incorporate new media and technologies such as animation, 3D imaging, motion graphics, game design and others. The successful candidate will be conversant in various historical and contemporary topics surrounding art and technology. The chosen candidate will expand the photo area to incorporate new media and technologies associated with area of expertise. Minimum Qualifications: MFA in Photography, New Media or related Studio field awarded by the start date. Teaching experience at the college/university level.
