Motion Graphics Artist

Santa Monica, California, United States Full Time

This role provides support services to all engaged departments: PR, Marketing, Production and development studios to produce high-quality art assets, primarily videos and motion graphics.

Typical end use will include, but is not limited to, editorial, marketing, internal, and occasionally in-game use.


  • Create original motion graphics content and assets such as lower thirds and title cards
  • Manipulate game footage to fix issues such as clipping and content removal
  • Create After Effects templates for video editors to use on their projects
  • Light, re-map textures, animate, and render 3d models provided by development studios
  • Update After Effects projects and other assets received from external sources
  • Troubleshoot Audio/Video Equipment, including Apple Mac Pro capture stations
  • Capture gameplay and possibly direct capture sessions, as needed
  • Serve as a central point of contact to our customer teams for all GFX needs
  • Tech services, such as altering resolutions, creating and adding end slates, cut downs, etc.
  • Implement feedback from customer teams
  • Organize, archive, and back up projects and assets
  • Perform other duties, as assigned


  • Advanced knowledge of After Effects
  • 3d experience with Element 3d, Cinema 4d, and Particular preferred
  • Good eye for composition, framing, and timing
  • Ability to conceptualize, plan, and execute the creation of original GFX for projects
  • Ability to integrate Photoshop, illustrator, and color correction techniques into workflow
  • Ability to edit in Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro a plus
  • Thick skinned, good listener and able to take constructive criticism
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize deadlines
  • Strong technical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining professionalism and composure
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proven knowledge of audio/video equipment and cables
  • Experience shooting live video/still photography a plus
  • A demo reel
  • 2-3 years of experience in the video game industry a plus
  • Customer Service experience a plus
